Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly has expressed strong confidence in India’s prospects at the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, labeling them as favorites to clinch the title. In a recent interview, Ganguly stated, “India has won the T20 World Cup. In 2023, India was the runner-up in the 50-over World Cup. In the Champions Trophy, India will be one of the favorites and one of the contenders. How India executes everything will depend on that. India’s white-ball team is very good.”
He further highlighted India’s dominance over Pakistan in major ICC tournaments, noting that India has lost to Pakistan only once in a world tournament since 2000. Ganguly remarked, “We have dominated them for around 25 years now.”

The Champions Trophy 2025 is set to commence on February 19, with Pakistan hosting the event. Due to political tensions, India will play all its matches in Dubai.
